The short version: we collect almost nothing.
Our apps do not collect personal data, usage analytics, or behavioral tracking.
All file processing happens on your device — nothing is uploaded to our servers.
No advertising SDKs, tracking frameworks, or third-party analytics in any app.
We only receive data you explicitly send us — when you contact support.
All purchases are handled by Apple or Microsoft. We never see your payment details.

The full policy below covers everything in detail. If you have any questions, contact us at privacy@bravecl.com.

Data processing in our apps

BraveCL apps are designed to process everything locally on your device. This is not a marketing claim — it is an architectural decision.

  • Image conversions, watermarking, background removal, color grading, and all other image processing operations run entirely on your Mac or iPhone using built-in Apple frameworks.
  • Sound playback in Drift uses locally bundled audio files. No streaming. No CDN. No network requests at runtime.
  • PDF operations are processed locally using macOS PDFKit. Documents are never transmitted.
  • QR code generation is entirely local. The URLs you encode are not sent to any server.
  • No app makes background network connections for data collection purposes.
The only network connections our apps makeare to Apple's App Store infrastructure for purchase verification, and optionally to iCloud for settings sync if you enable it. Both are controlled by Apple's privacy policies, not ours.

Third-party SDKs and services

We do not embed advertising networks, behavioral analytics SDKs, social login buttons, or any third-party tracking framework in our apps.

The following Apple system frameworks may be used and are subject to Apple's privacy policies:

  • StoreKit — for in-app purchase verification
  • CloudKit / iCloud — only when you explicitly enable sync
  • Core ML — for on-device machine learning (e.g. background removal)
  • AVFoundation — for audio playback

None of these frameworks collect personal data on our behalf. Apple's privacy practices are documented at apple.com/privacy.

When you contact support

If you contact us via our support form or by email, we receive:

  • Your name (if provided)
  • Your email address
  • The message content you write, including any attachments you choose to share

This information is used solely to respond to your request. We do not add you to marketing lists, share your contact information with third parties, or use your support emails for any other purpose.

Support correspondence is retained for up to 2 years to allow follow-up on recurring issues. You can request deletion at any time by emailing privacy@bravecl.com.

This website (bravecl.com)

bravecl.com is a static website. It does not use persistent cookies for tracking, behavioral advertising, or profiling.

We may use a privacy-first, cookieless analytics tool (such as Fathom or Plausible) that collects only aggregate, anonymous traffic metrics — page views and referrer information — without identifying individual visitors or using cross-site tracking. This data is not shared with third parties.

No third-party advertising scripts, social media pixels, or fingerprinting techniques are present on this website.

Purchases and billing

All purchases for BraveCL apps are processed by:

  • Apple App Store — for macOS and iOS apps
  • Microsoft Store — for Windows apps

We never see your payment details, card information, or billing address. Refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com or Microsoft's equivalent.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable privacy laws (including GDPR if you are in the European Union, or LGPD if you are in Brazil). These include:

  • The right to access any personal data we hold about you
  • The right to correct inaccurate personal data
  • The right to deletion of your personal data
  • The right to restrict or object to processing
  • The right to data portability

Because we collect almost no data, exercising these rights is straightforward. To make a request, email privacy@bravecl.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Note for EU residents: BraveCL processes personal data on the legal basis of legitimate interest (responding to your support requests) and contractual necessity (purchase verification via Apple/Microsoft). We do not process personal data for marketing or profiling.

Children's privacy

BraveCL apps are not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal data to us, please contact privacy@bravecl.com and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect any revisions. We will not materially reduce your privacy protections without notice.

Continued use of our apps or website after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
