What Blend Images does

  • Compare all 16 blend modes

A grid of live thumbnails shows your own two photos in every blend mode. Tap a thumbnail to apply that mode.

  • Fit the texture to the frame

Fill, Aspect Fill and Tile set how the texture covers the photo. Tile repeats the texture edge to edge.

  • Check the output size before export

The exact pixel dimensions show in the export preview before you save the file.

  • Grade the finish with five controls

Exposure, Contrast, Saturation, Warmth and Vignette apply to the finished composite, not to either photo.

  • Select the subject automatically

On Mac, Smart Subject finds the subject for you, and Smart Background finds the backdrop.

  • Move the texture by slider

On Windows, Offset X and Y, Scale and Rotation place the texture. It cannot be dragged on the canvas.

How it works

  1. Step 1 of 5

    Open your base photo

Drag an image onto the window, or use Open Photo. On Mac, you can also use the file picker.

  2. Step 2 of 5

Load the second image as the texture

Use Open Texture, or drop a second image onto the window. The texture is layered over your base photo.

  3. Step 3 of 5

Pick a blend mode and watch the result

Choose one of 16 blend modes. The canvas preview updates as you change the mode or the texture opacity.

  4. Step 4 of 5

Limit the texture with a selection

Use the magic wand, lasso or brush to choose where the texture lands. Edge Feather softens the boundary.

  5. Step 5 of 5

    Export or copy the result

Choose PNG, JPEG, TIFF or BMP and a size, then save. Copy sends the composite to the clipboard.

Saves PNG, JPEG, TIFF or BMP on both platforms. On Windows, opens JPEG, PNG, TIFF, BMP and GIF. HEIC and WebP need the matching Windows image-extension components installed on Windows.

Questions

What does it not do?

No layer stacks and no batch processing. It works on one composite at a time, with one mask.

Does it change my original files?

On Windows, the originals are only read, never written. The export is a fresh render, so EXIF, GPS and colour profile data do not carry over.

Is it on Windows?

Yes. It is on sale for Windows in the Microsoft Store.
