Strong, protocol-matched security
Protocol-matched passwords
Generate exact bit lengths for WEP, WPA, WPA-2, and WPA-3 with dual ASCII and HEX output formats.
Cryptographically strong generation
Uses Apple's Security framework with rejection sampling — no modulo bias, no patterns, nothing leaves your Mac.
Passphrase Mode
Diceware passphrases (4–8 hyphen-joined words) for passwords that are easy to type and remember yet cryptographically strong.
Strength analysis card
Every password shows entropy bits, strength badge (Very Weak to Strong), and estimated offline crack time at 100 billion guesses per second.
Router Hardening Checklist
Six actionable tips covering WPA-3 migration, admin credentials, WPS, firmware updates, guest networks, and remote management.
QR Code & Guest Card sharing
Share via standard WiFi QR codes, exportable Guest Cards with embedded codes, or plain-text files — all without cloud sync.
How it works
Step 1 of 3
Generate strong passwords
Pick protocol (WEP, WPA, WPA-2, or WPA-3), choose bit strength, select passphrase or random mode, add a network label, and view your security card.
Step 2 of 3
Analyze or copy
One-click copy ASCII or HEX format with visual confirmation, or paste existing passwords into the Analyzer tab to check their strength.
Step 3 of 3
Share or save
Share via QR code or Guest Card, save to a text file, or keep full history in the Saved Networks tab — all offline, never synced.

Frequently asked questions
Is this a subscription?
No. WiFi Passwords is a one-time purchase in each store: US$9.99 on Mac and US$4.99 on Windows. Updates come through the store.
Does it use the cloud?
No. WiFi Passwords works entirely offline on your Mac. Credentials are generated using SecRandomCopyBytes and never written to iCloud, transmitted anywhere, or require any network connection.
What protocols are supported?
WEP (deprecated — shown with warning), WPA, WPA-2, and WPA-3. Each protocol supports specific bit strengths: WEP offers 40/104 bits, WPA and WPA-2 offer 160/504 bits, and WPA-3 offers 128/504 bits.
Can I analyze existing passwords?
Yes. The Analyzer tab lets you paste any password to see its entropy bits, strength rating (Very Weak to Strong), and estimated offline crack time at 100 billion guesses per second.
How is my history stored?
Saved Networks keeps up to 50 entries locally on your Mac — you can search, pin, rename, and delete entries, but nothing is synced to iCloud or the cloud.
What's new
