What Blur Photo Focus Studio does

  • Paint blur or mosaic where you need it

    Paint over an area and the effect appears there.

  • Pick Gaussian, motion or pixelation

    Gaussian softens evenly. Motion smears in one direction. Pixelation turns the area into blocks.

  • Compare the result with the original

    Compare the original with your edited photo before you save.

  • Erase back to the original

    Erase over an area you covered too far and the original pixels return. Undo and redo step back through changes.

  • Review suggested faces and text

    On Mac, check suggested faces and text one by one. Cover, skip or edit each area.

  • Check covered areas with a tint

    On Windows, press M and every painted pixel is tinted blue over the live result. The tint can stay over parts you erased.

How it works

  1. Step 1 of 4

    Open one photo

    Start with one photograph. On Windows, drop it onto the window or press Ctrl+O.

  2. Step 2 of 4

    Paint the area to cover

    Choose an effect, then paint over the area you want to cover.

  3. Step 3 of 4

    Compare with the original

    Compare the result with the original and inspect chosen areas at full size.

  4. Step 4 of 4

    Save the result

    Export PNG, JPEG, TIFF, BMP or HEIC on Mac. On Windows, HEIC does not work.

On Mac, export PNG, JPEG, TIFF, BMP or HEIC. On Windows, Save As writes PNG, JPEG, TIFF or BMP. HEIC does not work on Windows.

Questions

Does it work on many photos at once?

No. It works on one image at a time, with no batch and no folder mode.

Is it a security tool?

No. A block mosaic takes detail out of the picture, but it is not encryption.

Does it support HEIC on Windows?

No. On Windows, HEIC stops with an encoder error and writes no file.
