What Birthday Card Maker: Templates does

  • Write your own heading and message

    Add a heading, message and sign-off beside one photo. The design adapts to your words, and it does not rewrite them.

  • Try stationery designs with your photo

    Preview each design with your photo and message before you choose one. Keep the design you already like if you cancel.

  • Frame the photo for each shape

    Adjust the framing separately for square, tall and print, so the important part of the photo stays in view.

  • Compare square, tall and print layouts

    See all three layouts side by side before you save. Compare the square and tall images with a flat 5 × 7-inch card.

  • Choose A4 or US Letter with trim marks

    Prepare the print layout on A4 or US Letter paper, with optional trim marks.

  • Retry a single file that fails

    Save two matching PNG images and a one-page print PDF. If one file cannot be made, retry only that file.

How it works

    Add one photo

    Start with an editable example or a fresh card, then add one photo to it.

  2. Step 2 of 5

    Write the heading, message and sign-off

    Edit the Words panel: Heading, Message and Sign-off sit beside the photo.

  3. Step 3 of 5

    Choose a design

    Pick a stationery design in Choose Design and check it with your photo and message.

  4. Step 4 of 5

    Frame each shape

    Set the framing for Square, Tall and Print, then compare the three layouts.

  5. Step 5 of 5

    Save or deliver the card

    Use Share, Print or Save in Deliver Card. Share and Print use the system's own dialogs.

Saves two PNG images and a one-page printable PDF from the same greeting.

Which files does it save?

Two PNG images for screens and a one-page PDF for printing. All three are made from the same greeting.

Can it make folded or double-sided cards?

No. It makes a flat greeting with one photo. Multi-photo collages, folded or double-sided cards and RSVP invitations are not included.

Does it print the card directly?

It prepares the page for A4 or US Letter paper. Physical printing depends on your printer.

Can it recover unfinished work?

Yes, when available. Recent unfinished work can be recovered.
