Questions
Does it change my original files?
On Mac, saves do not overwrite originals or files already there. On Windows, Save to Subfolder writes compressed copies into a compressed/ folder beside the source images.
Which formats does it save?
JPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC or TIFF. On Mac, some choices depend on the encoders available.
Can I set a maximum dimension on Windows?
Yes. Set a maximum pixel dimension from 256 to 8192 in 256 px increments. The default is 2048 px, and smaller images pass through unchanged.
Is there a limit on photos per batch?
Yes. Each batch supports up to 500 photos. Start another batch for the rest.
What's new
Version 3.0 · Oct 30, 2026
Version 3 turns one-off compression into a guided batch-to-delivery workflow. Set a file-size target, measure every photo before saving and compare the real results. Review folders before import, choose whether to keep conversions that grow, confirm file names and destination, then save without overwriting existing files. Check saved images before Finder or Share; unfinished work can be reviewed again, and Next Batch clears the way for a new job.
