What Vector Icons does

  • Start from licensed symbols or your art

    Choose from 96 licensed symbols across eight categories, or open your own SVG, PDF, PNG, JPEG, HEIC or TIFF artwork.

  • Shape the badge, border and corners

    Keep the artwork's original colors, then choose its badge, border, corner shape, scale and position.

  • Compare seven finishes side by side

    Apply seven looks to your chosen artwork. Place a new finish beside the current design, then keep or discard the change. Undo and Redo stay available.

  • Inspect the 16 pt and 32 pt Mac images

    See the actual 16 pt and 32 pt Mac icon images, then fine-tune one small size without changing the main design or other sizes.

  • Export a complete AppIcon set

    Create a Mac AppIcon.appiconset or an iOS AppIcon asset set, export a 1024-pixel PNG, or copy the prepared image.

Which file types can I start from?

Licensed vector symbols, or your own SVG, PDF, PNG, JPEG, HEIC or TIFF artwork.

Can it make several icons at once?

No. It makes one icon per window, not a batch. It is not a layered drawing editor and does not save reusable project documents or native Icon Composer files.

Does it check the save location before writing?

Yes. It shows the save location and any existing-file replacement before writing, then shows which files were saved.

Is it on Windows?

Not at the moment. It is on sale for Mac in the Mac App Store.
