Does it use the cloud?

No. WiFi Passwords works entirely offline on your Mac. Credentials are generated using SecRandomCopyBytes and never written to iCloud, transmitted anywhere, or require any network connection.

What protocols are supported?

WEP (deprecated — shown with warning), WPA, WPA-2, and WPA-3. Each protocol supports specific bit strengths: WEP offers 40/104 bits, WPA and WPA-2 offer 160/504 bits, and WPA-3 offers 128/504 bits.

Can I analyze existing passwords?

Yes. The Analyzer tab lets you paste any password to see its entropy bits, strength rating (Very Weak to Strong), and estimated offline crack time at 100 billion guesses per second.

How is my history stored?

Saved Networks keeps up to 50 entries locally on your Mac — you can search, pin, rename, and delete entries, but nothing is synced to iCloud or the cloud.
