What Photo Converter Studio does

  • Add single files or whole folders

    Add files or a folder. Each job writes one output format and works through the files one at a time.

  • Set options for the output format

    Set the options the chosen format supports, such as JPEG quality. On Windows, also WebP Lossless or TIFF compression. On Mac, save settings as presets.

  • Resize and flatten in the same job

    Scale images and decide what happens to transparency while they convert. On Windows, pick Fit, Fill or Stretch, then Preserve or Flatten to White.

  • On Mac, check outputs against limits

    On Mac, set limits for file size, dimensions or transparency and see which finished files meet them. They are checks; files are not shrunk to fit.

  • On Mac, compare originals with results

    On Mac, open any converted image beside its original, split by a divider. Only images you inspect are marked reviewed.

  • See which files finished or failed

    A failed file is reported and the rest of the batch finishes. On Mac, retry only the unresolved files and export a text or JSON handoff report.

How it works

    Add files or a folder

    Add images or a whole folder. On Mac, review which files were included, omitted or duplicated. On Windows, folders expand up to three levels deep.

  2. Step 2 of 4

    Choose the output format

    Pick one format for the job, then set its options, resizing and transparency.

  3. Step 3 of 4

    Run the batch

    Files convert one after another. On Windows, click Convert Images, choose one destination folder, and cancel at any point.

  4. Step 4 of 4

    Check the results

    See which files finished and which need attention. On Windows, Show All in Explorer opens the folder. On Mac, compare outputs and retry.

On Windows, the app opens and saves JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, TIFF, ICO, PPM, PGM, PBM, PAM, SGI, Sun Raster, XBM, XPM and DDS. On Windows, HEIC and AVIF open when the HEIF and AV1 Image Extensions are installed, and HEIC can then be saved too. On Mac, the app shows which formats your computer can write.

Questions

Can I edit photos with it?

No. It converts, resizes and sets transparency for a batch; it is not a photo editor.

Does it change my original files on Windows?

No. Source files are never modified, moved or deleted. When an output name is already taken, the new file is saved as name-2, name-3 and so on.

Can one job create several formats?

No. A job writes one output format and processes its files one after another. Start another job for a second format.

What happens when a file fails?

The file is reported and the rest of the batch still finishes. On Mac, retry only the unresolved files; earlier successful outputs are kept.

What goes into the handoff report on Mac?

The batch, the settings and the results, as text or JSON. Copy it or export it. Full file paths stay out of the report by default.
