Write one word, two stacked lines, or a short marker beside a word. The label sits on the folder image while you edit.
Choose a font, size and colour
Pick a font installed on your computer, set the size, and choose the lettering colour and bold weight.
Compare versions before you save
Check the folder at 32, 64 and 128 points. Pin one design and compare it with the current one side by side.
Save or copy a 512 × 512 PNG
Copy the current artwork or save one 512 × 512 PNG after you review it in the workspace.

Copy or save the 512 × 512 PNG, then apply it to the folder yourself in Finder or Windows.

Does it change my folders automatically?

No. It makes one PNG at a time, and you apply the artwork to the folder yourself.

Can it process a batch of folders?

No. It handles one folder image at a time and does not process batches, edit photos or save reusable design projects.

Which fonts can I use?

Choose from the fonts installed on your computer. Lettering needs supported glyphs and enough room in the chosen layout.

Text Icons 3.0 focuses on making project folders recognizable by name. Add one- or two-line lettering or a short marker, adjust font and contrast, check the result at three viewing sizes, and compare one pinned idea before copying or saving a PNG. Applying it in Finder is still manual.
