What Image Blend Modes does

  • Compare 18 blend looks

    View 18 ways two photos work together, from Multiply and Screen to Overlay, Soft Light and Difference. Each preview uses your own photos.

  • Choose one of five strengths

    Five full-image previews show the blend at strengths from 20% up to the full amount. Fine-tune the amount with the whole picture in view.

  • Try an alternative beside your pick

    Compare one alternative with your current look. Keep it or discard it, and undo an applied choice if you change your mind.

  • Add masks, filters and frames

    Preview masks, filters and frames on your own photo pair before you select one.

  • Inspect the PNG before you save

    View the finished PNG at fit or actual size against white, black or checkerboard. Copy or save the same file you previewed.

How it works

    Open the base and overlay images

    Open one base photo and one image to place over it. Choose local images or drag them into the editor.

  2. Step 2 of 5

    Pick a look from the Blend Atlas

    Choose a blend in the Blend Atlas, then start from one of the five strengths.

  3. Step 3 of 5

    Fine-tune the amount

    Choose a starting point, then fine-tune the amount with the whole picture in view.

  4. Step 4 of 5

    Finish with masks, filters or frames

    Check how masks, filters and frames finish your own pair of photos before you select one.

  5. Step 5 of 5

    Check and save the PNG

    Inspect the PNG at fit or actual size, then copy or save it.

Saves the finished image as PNG only.
